Mr. Soneff has more than 20 years of experience as an attorney, with 17 years in the biotechnology field. He currently serves a variety of companies in the medical device, pharmaceutical and health care services industries. He represents established companies as well as start-ups located in San Diego, Europe, China and Japan. Previously, Mr. Soneff served as the General Counsel & Secretary for Cytori Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: CYTX) for 14 years where he managed the company’s legal affairs including contracts, M&A, licensing, joint ventures, acquisitions, asset sales, financings, securities, and corporate governance. He also has experience as a litigation attorney and as a business attorney in other industries. Mr. Soneff has completed over $100 million dollars in licensing deals, $200 million in equity financing, and $45 million in combined asset sales and acquisitions. He has crafted major transactions with Olympus Corporation (Joint Venture), GE Healthcare (Global Distribution), Roche Diagnostics (Licensing & Manufacture), UC Regents (Licensing) and many others. Mr. Soneff is very experienced in product development, marketing, asset sales, acquisitions, strategic partnerships and global product distribution. He also has extensive knowledge in corporate governance, compliance, and clinical trials.
Mr. Soneff is passionate about working with innovative companies to drive life-enhancing technologies from concept through development and commercial success. Mr. Soneff received a B.A. in Philosophy at the University of California at Irvine, and a J.D. at Santa Clara University School of Law.
